The day before we got to Yellowstone they got 6" of snow in the north end of the park.
Notice the arch made of antlers.
The snow capped mountains were indescribably beautiful!
  I hope you can see the calves near their mothers.
The river winds thru the entire park but the salmon weren't spawning yet.
Everything stops when an animal is on the road.

Still lots of snow and ice on the ground in Yellowstone park.This is the middle of June.
Buffalo were everywhere ,but then this is a paradise for animals.
You just never know what you're gonna see on the road!

Crazy Horse Monument is a work in progress.It has been being carved for over 60 years by one man and his family.They don't accept any govt grants or money.It is paid for entirely by public donations.
  Had a little bike trouble and had to move this varmint out of the road before he got run over or got into anti-freeze.He's a Prarie Rattler.Can you see his buttons? Yes,he is a real live snake.
  He did have an attitude!
This is what happens when road debris flies up and hits your radiator.After a tow to the Boss Hoss dealership in Russellville Arkansas we were on the road again.
  If you're ever in Joplin,Mo and need a tow these people are super nice.
And we got home on Fathers Day at 5:00PM or so.
We have certainly seen a lot and covered over 6000 miles but we were glad to be home !
I took over 2000 pictures while we were gone and these are just a very few of them.They are not all in the order that I took them.Pictures just don't do justice to all the beauty that we saw.Wish you all could have been there.I'll add more pix later.
We left on May 23 and arrived home on Fathers Day.
Butch and I decided to "rough it" one night.

This is saloon # 10 where Bill Hitchcock was gunned down.We ate a Buffalo Burger here for lunch.
This guy played Buffalo Bill in a reenactment of his death.
Main streen in Deadwood S D.I loved it there.There were deer who came up into town every afternoon and last year they killed a panther right behind the junior high school.
